Our leather shoes are made from Italian skins. Their beauty rests in the leather’s finish and handfeel. To ensure their preservation, please wear your shoes carefully. Treat them thoughtfully. Avoid water, dirt, mud or sand. They will develop a patina over time. The leather will form to your foot and change appearance. This is part of the beauty of a more naked skin, much like an unlaquered brass or raw denim, they will become your own creation over time. Markings, discoloration from wear and from being worn will create a one of a kind appearance that will tell the story of your time.

Please also realize that my shoes are handmade. This is a beautiful process that supports a family and community of Italian makers that have been making shoes their whole lives and their families lives before them. They are a lineage. They use their hands. They cut by hand, they apply the soles by hand. Humans can make human errors. Because my shoes are not made by automated machines and presses, but by humans, they will have minor inconsistencies from shoe to shoe. If you have an issue with a pair please reach out. Every pair of shoes is inspected before it is shipped out of Italy. What makes them not 100% perfect is what makes them beautiful. This handmade construction is a dying art. It creates a fit and a feel that is different. They are different.

We do not offer repairs. Please consult with a qualified cobbler if your shoes need repairs over time. This is a relationship you should have in your toolbox. A good cobbler is your friend.

The sole is a sueded leather. It is a sole meant to be worn outside and inside. There is no issue wearing your shoes outside and even in mild weather. The soles are not heavy duty. I would suggest not wearing your shoes in heavy rain or snow. They are not that kind. Please note that in time they can become slippery on wet flat surfaces as would any leather sole. Many of our shoes come with injected rubber patches, this helps with longevity and these are anti slip. 

The denim is laundered already and has been pre-shrunk in it’s creation. They should not shrink more, however excessive high heat can increase shrinkage and fading.  We suggest that you wash all denim inside out in cold water with similar colors and lay flat to dry. If you prefer to dry, dry low. 

Stretch denim can stretch a bit with wear. I would expect about 1/2 size of growth with wear. You might also notice that they will retract when not worn. The denim stretches and recovers.. This will also contract with washing and drying. This is the  nature of stretch cotton spandex jeans. We choose denim that is cotton based and offers an authentic appearance. Sometimes brands choose more synthetic denims and those might offer higher elasticity and recovery. They are just different. We choose this kind to achieve an authentic and specific look in wash.

Please note that dark colors like raw rinse and overdyed black may have a risk of crocking or bleeding, such is the nature of raw denims and overdyed blacks for anyone. Please note the best way to control this would be to wash cold before wear and lay flat to dry. 

Having a relationship with a qualified tailor is a must have. It is suggested to have your jeans or pants tailored to your best and desired inseam length should you need. Because there are many different heights of people, it is impossible to serve everyone their perfect height and length jean at the same time. Please reach out if you need guidance on what to request or ask for when it comes to adjusting the length of your pant or jean.

Some of our sweatshirts and tee shirts are made with piece dyed Japanese cotton yarns. This is an amazing difference between 90% of other casual tee shirts and sweatshirts you can buy. Because they are piece dyed, they are darker, they have a deeper color saturation. They will not fade with wash as quickly as garment dyed knits will. They will keep their darkest black color. I chose this because I wanted tees that held their own next to designer trousers. I wanted a tee shirt to wear under a blazer that looked polished but felt comfortable. 

Some of our more casual pieces are garment dyed. We use high quality materials and dye them in garment form. We do this to achieve a specific look and feel, one that is lived in and casual in nature. Garment dyed products have a wider tolerance of different outcomes due to the nature of dyeing.. Each piece is unique and dye processes vary from load to load.

Our tee shirts, sweatshirts and twill pants all can be machine washed. I suggest to wash with like colors, inside out, cold.. and lay flat to dry. This is the best way to wash clothing you care about. 

Our tailored pieces, silk and dressier pieces need to be dry cleaned as indicated on the labels.

The semi precious stones are natural and hand cut. Please note, the color, shades and details of this natural stone may vary from one creation to another.

For plated jewelry, we suggest storing them in your soft Jamie Haller pouch. It is also advised to store in them a cool dry place.  Avoid wearing your jewelry in the shower. Remove when exercising or other strenuous activity. Avoid harsh chemicals such as cleaning products, aerosols and hair sprays. It could damage the plating. We recommend cleaning your jewelry with a soft cloth. Avoid polishing the ring with hard polishing cloths, they will strip the luster from the piece.  Plated jewelry will naturally patina and the finish may fade with wear. This is the nature of all gold plated jewelry.

To prevent any color transfer, we recommend avoiding direct contact with clothing and other surfaces of contrast color. Please avoid leaving your bag in sunlight as direct sun can cause discoloration. Please avoid water and wet areas as this can lead to the skin being damaged or water stains. Please protect metal surfaces from liquids, chemicals and impacts against hard surfaces.
